A narrow Gauge railway that runs on one of the oldest railway track beds in Cornwall. Th
e original railway was opened in 1849 as a mineral line from Newquay to East Wheal Rose.
The line eventually became Great Western’s Railway line from Newquay to Chacewater. The line was closed under the Beeching cuts in 1963.
