Tolcarne Beach

Tolcarne Beach
Tolcarne Beach Information
Surfers: Newquay’s three north-facing town beaches – Tolcarne, Great Western and Towan join up at low tide to form a mile-long stretch of sand, at high tide they’re submerged.
A stunning beach location with all the amenities including a restaurant that you need for a day at the beach.
Surrounded on three sides by high cliffs, Tolcarne is sheltered, north-west-facing. It caters for for both families and surfers. However access can be an issue. At low tide you can walk from Great Western Beach usual access is via a set of fairly steep cliff steps.
Always popular, and often crowded during the summer, despite the waves tending to close out. Best around mid-tide, with a light westerly cross-shore.
